In today's society, more and more people expect to get services, information and tasks get done instantly. This trend is largely driven by the rise of modern technology and the shift in consumer culture, and although it provides conveniece, I believe this is a mostly negative development because it can lead to deterioration of attention, concentration and the quality of decision-making.

Ony major reason for this trend is the speed modern technology. People can now order food, transfer money or search for information within seconds. Because so many activities are done fast and effortless, people expect the same speed in every area of a daily life. For example, when people get used to a quick online delivery or instant answer from search engines, they become frustrated and impatient when they need to wait for government's service, medical appointment or university application results which can take several days to be proceed. As a result, technology has changed people's attitude towards processes which require time and patience.

Another important factor is the role of companies, which often promote speed and convenience as an advantage when choosing a product. Many companies promise fast delivery and a quicker consumer service, which deliberately change consumer's attitude on waiting process. People now expect that their needs can and should met immediately, whether they shopping online or use social media. Therefore, speed is often associated with quality and effeciency.

In my view, this trend is largely negative. Although it can save time, people are becoming more impatient and easily dissatisfied. If people become more used to instant results, they may find it challenging to deal with tasks that require slower progress, such as learning a new skill or building a career. It can also encourage shallow thinking, as people would choose an instant answer rather than taking time on searching properly.

In conclusion, I believe the desire to get things done almost instantly is mainly caused by the impact of digital technology and modern businesses. Although it can make life easier, I still believe it have negative consequences as it worsens people's attention span and discourages engagement with anything that requires time and effort.
