Human evolution saw a lot of inventions and one of them is the wheel. It is argued that internet is the most beneficial thing among them. Although I understand this view, I disagree with this opinion. In this essay, I will provide reasons for my position while examining the another view.

Without a doubt, internet changed a lot of aspects of our lives. Millions of people around the world use internet to communicate with each other, purchase items online, and entertain themselves. Internet made these activities a lot easier to do. However, internet would not have existed if, for example, electricity was not invented in the first place. There are many inventions that contributed directly or indirectly for the birth of the internet.

For instance, we can add the fire to the most crucial human invention. It was one the first human inventions and it changed how we eat the meal. As I have mention earlier, electricity was also the turning point for human evolution. It is very hard to find a house where there is no digital device and electricity powered devices. These inventions alone became the big part of out live. It is diffucult to image a life without them while internet just makes our lives a little easier.

In conclusion, although the internet has significantly improved modern life by making communication and daily activities easier, I believe it is not the greatest invention in human history. More fundamental inventions such as fire and electricity had a much greater impact on human development and made later technologies, including the internet, possible.
