The maps illustrate the changes in room layouts for training sessions designed for no more than ten people and for groups of more than ten individuals. Overall, it is clear that there have been significant changes in the room arrangement, particularly in the positioning of tables and chairs. However, the entrance and the whiteboard remained unchanged in both layouts.

Looking at the first map, the room had a relatively simple layout. The entrance was located on the northern side, while directly opposite it, on the southern wall, there was a whiteboard with the presenter’s chair positioned to its left. In the centre of the room, there was a large rectangular table. Additionally, a morning tea area was situated in the southern part of the room.

In the second map, several modifications can be observed. The morning tea area was relocated to the north-west corner. The entrance and the whiteboard remained in the same positions as before. However, the presenter’s chair was moved closer to the centre of the room. Furthermore, the large rectangular table was divided into three smaller tables, which were then arranged along the west, east, and south sides of the room.

Examiner feedback

This is a strong response that clearly describes the differences between the two room layouts with high grammatical accuracy and a logical flow. To reach a higher band in Task Achievement, the response could more explicitly address the capacity requirements by counting the number of chairs provided in each setup.
