The line graph compares the number of births and deaths in a European country between 1950 and 2050.

Overall, the number of births was higher than the number of deaths at the beginning of the period and in the future the number of deaths is predicted to rise and may exceed the number of births.

Regarding the number of births, the figure experienced a rise from about 780000 to 1000000 births between 1950 and 1970. In addition, it declined from 1000000 to 600000 between 1970 and 1990. Meanwhile, the figure rose from 600000 to about 700000 between 1990 and 2010 and it is predicted to remain stable at 700000 between 2010 and 2050.

Regarding the number of deaths, the figure climbed from about 700000 to approximately 730000 between 1950 and 1970. In addition, the number of deaths declined gradually from around 730000 in 1970 to around 680000 in 2030. Meanwhile, the number of deaths is predicted to rise from about 680000 to 800000 between 2030 and 2050.
