The diagram illustrates the process of producing olive oil from freshly picked olives.

Overall, it is a linear process consisting of seven stages, beginning with the harvesting of olives and ending with the storage and sale of the finished oil. Throughout the process, the olives undergo several stages of processing before the oil is separated from water and prepared for distribution.

Initially, ripe olives are picked from olive trees before being transported to a conveyor belt, where they are rinsed with cold water to remove any dirt. Next, the cleaned olives are crushed in a machine to produce olive paste, while the olive stones are removed as a by-product. The resulting paste is then spread evenly into bags with small holes, which are stacked together in preparation for the next stage.

Afterwards, the stacked bags are pressed to extract the liquid from the paste. The extracted mixture is subsequently transferred to a centrifuge, where the oil is separated from the water. In the final stage, the purified olive oil is poured into bottles and is then stored before being sold to customers.
