The provided illustration depicts the process in which aluminium cans are remanufactured. Overall, it is a cyclical process comprising seven stages, beginning with the collection of used cans separately and ending with recycled aluminium cans.

First, the used cans, which are separately disposed of into the dedicated bins, are collected by the trash collecting service. Afterward, those cans undergo cleaning and sorting processes to ensure hygiene and reusability. They are then shredded into tiny pieces before being compressed.

In the subsequent stage, these shredded and compressed pieces are heated to melt down, forming a rolling aluminium sheet when it cools down. The thickness of this sheet is between 2.5mm and 6mm. Finally, this rolling sheet is converted into unlabelled recycled cans, which are later reused by the respective industries such as Coca Cola. In this way, 74% of aluminium cans are sucessfully recycled in UK and this whole process starts anew when consumed and disposed of.
