The diagram illustrates the various stages involved in the production of bottled water.

Overall, the process comprises five main stages, beginning with the purification of raw water and ending with the packaging and distribution of the finished product. It is a linear process in which water is successively filtered, treated, heated, carbonated, flavoured, bottled and packaged before being transported to supermarkets.

Initially, raw water is passed through a filter to remove impurities, after which it is softened and treated with various chemicals. The treated water is subsequently transferred to an electric heater, where it undergoes heating and evaporation. Following this stage, the water is cooled before being conveyed through a pipe, where carbon dioxide is added to produce carbonated water.

In the subsequent stage, the carbonated water is combined with colouring, syrup and flavouring to enhance its taste and appearance. The resulting mixture is then passed through another filter before being poured into bottles and cans. Finally, the filled containers are packed into cardboard boxes, which are subsequently loaded onto trucks and transported to supermarkets for sale.
