The given diagram depicts the phases and machinery employed in the process of manufacturing olive oil.

Overall, it is immediately clear from the diagram that producing olive oil is an eight-step process, commencing from collecting a raw material and culminating in delivering the end product - oil. Furthermore, it is irrefutable that this complicated process requires both machinery resources and human labor.

Regarding the first stage of olives’ preparation, once olives have been picked with the help of a rake , they are stored for 2-3 days. This step is followed by the process of washing olives with cold water, placing them onto a metal roller. Consequently, washed olives go through a specific machine to be crushed by a hammer. Subsequently, olive stones and olive paste are extracted from ground olives, are collected in a container for the former and in a pipe directed to the pressing and filtering machine for the latter.

Moving to the second stage of getting a final product, it includes other four steps. First, olive paste should undergo a pressing process by hydraulic press before being filtered with the purpose of oil extraction. After being spun in a centrifugal machine, the solution undergoes separating process into two products — oil, and water. Ultimately, as olive oil is bottled, the final product is transported to stores.
