The bar chart illustrates the number of films produced by five countries (A, B, C, D and E) in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Overall, country A produced by far the highest number of films throughout the period, although its figure fell slightly in 2009. By contrast, countries D and E made the fewest films. While production increased in B and C, it declined in A and D.
Looking first at the two leading countries, country A produced about 88 films in both 2007 and 2008 before the figure dropped to around 80 in 2009. In contrast, film production in B rose steadily from approximately 47 films in 2007 to 48 in 2008, before increasing significantly to about 68 in the final year.
Regarding the remaining countries, C experienced a gradual rise, with production increasing from roughly 7 films in 2007 to 12 in 2008 and 16 in 2009. On the other hand, D showed an overall decline, falling from around 13 films to 7, before recovering slightly to 10 in 2009. Finally, E remained relatively stable throughout the period, producing about 6 to 7 films each year.
