The maps compare the current layout of Huntingdon with the proposed changes that are planned for the future.

Overall, Huntingdon is expected to undergo significant redevelopment, particularly to its transport network. A new industrial estate will replace the existing airfield, while additional roads and a roundabout will be constructed to improve access to the town centre and surrounding areas.

At present, an airfield occupies the north-western part of the town, but this is set to be converted into an industrial estate. The built-up area, which consists of homes and shops in the north-east, will remain largely unchanged. Likewise, the railway station in the south-west will stay in its current location, although the area around it will be connected to an upgraded road system.

The most noticeable changes involve the roads. Currently, Brampton Road links the western A1 road with the town centre, while the A14 bypass runs to the south. In the future, a large roundabout will be built where Brampton Road meets the main route to the town centre. In addition, a new road will extend northwards from this roundabout to the industrial estate. Another new road will connect the roundabout directly to the Ring Road, improving access to the town centre. Furthermore, the A14 will be realigned to provide a more direct route around the southern edge of Huntingdon.
